What a wonderful find Tom. Sort of Disney does Catholicism! I really like the muted colours and ruptured ground vs the whole and rather delicate figure contrast so well. Are they coins?

Someone made a little plinth on top of the graveyard wall and cemented the the little statue on to it. They also left pennies and some small flowers.

At first glance this seemed one of those selective color images. To be honest such images generally don't appeal to me. But this one did have some appeal: rough yet delicate, colorful yet not. And then I realized as I looked closer that in fact it is a full color image, with the little purple petal behind the statuette, and with very subtle tones to the trees and vegetation in the background. I am left with the thought that the colors are beautiful and the image is quite delightful.
