The Dark Days are Upon Us

Today was a dark and stormy day. During a short break in the sleety rain I managed to dash out and capture the cloudscape in front of the house.

Very nice sence of depth ...
Thats a bit how I feel at the mo ... Dark clouds hanging over me
... ... Don't want to bring down the mood, it's only the dark clouds of never ending proposal writing that's hanging over me ... It's just what popped I to my head when I saw the picture :)

Actually that is pretty much why I took the shot and why I exposed it as I did. I have a cold and was feeling lousy this morning. But I had a complex document to write and so stayed at home and wrote it there. I took this during a break when it wasn't going well. That must have helped as I finished it and sent it to my customer this evening!

Looks familiar...Love the rendering of the clouds, yet there is much to look at also in the distant hills, and just the hint of foreground. Excellent.

How odd ...
Ive had two proposal deadlines this week, sent the last one off this avo ... Have 9 more to do ... 9 ... 9!!! 9 by the end of next week! Admittedly a couple of those are self imposed deadlines ... But they need doing ... I feel like I'm going mad!
Im so sick of talking about "features", mentioning "google et al" and trying to find alternatives for the phrases "whilst we" and "we feel". I find my self analysing and postulating to the point of hitherto unknown and entierly unnecessary levels of verbosity ... Then have to delete half of it and just write a bunch of crap that sound like I know what I'm talking about ... Which of course I do :)

... And god damn referencing everything with numbers (0.1)

0.1 referencing everything like this

Super mood Pete - love the spill of light onto the grass around center frame, and the dark undersides to those bigger clouds

How does it look in color? ;) :D :D :D

Writer's block! We all get it. Good thing you didn't have photogblock Pete or we might never have seen this bonnie fotie! I love that foreboding sky and, as Rob said, there is much to look at in the hills. Lovely stuff Pete. (A wee dram of single malt is a fine antidote to writer's block, even if you don't get any writing done as a result!;))

Thanks all. Chris, what is this colour thing you speak about?! ;)

Pete - It comes bundled with most cameras, unless you pay extra to have it removed ;)
