The Kind of Thing You Get When You Take Dancers Bowling

For Meg's 16th birthday party we took her and about about 14 other girls bowling and then to dinner. Here is a scene from the bowling.

Used my 7D and somebody else's flash.

That's crazy Brian - How did you get the double exposure?

Nice pose BTW - Should be on 'So you think you can dance' by the looks of things!

The double-exposure? Wish I knew how! My guess is that my shutter fired (I wasn't using flash) and the other person's shutter fired--with flash--a particle of a nanosecond apart in time. This, I'm guessing, caused my shutter to freeze the subject on the other person's red-eye reduction light, and again on the flash. Whereas without the flash I would have captured significant blur. Does that explanation make any sense? Thanks Chris.

What a cool effect - bet you could't do that a second time! ;)

Must be all that practice catching celestial fireballs - ninja reaction times.

Bet you I could! (If given several million more tries under the same circumstances!;)) I'm hoping Pete or Hamish or someone else will pop in and give an opinion on what might have caused the effect. Celestial fireballs...? I admit I am rather adept at capturing such phenomena. Yes,...you may be right, Chris.

Great shot Brian love the colours and pose

Was that Sarah's flash by any chance Brian. It certainly has that look about it!! Fabulous place of legs and circle and the observer adds so much. I like this a lot! :)
Yes exectly, Pete. It was Miss Sarah's flash that did it. (By the way, I have subsequently discovered another picture, somewhat similar, that Miss Sarah had a hand in. Perhaps I can post that one tomorrow.) The observer is my daughter, Meg. Anyway, thanks very much, Pete.
