The Little White Rose of Scotland

The rose of all the world is not for me.
I want for my part
Only the little white rose of Scotland
That smells sharp and sweet—and breaks the heart.
- Hugh MacDiarmid

I went professional (!), with an Artisan Photographer's Background, which cuts out the overwhelming clutter of our house. This series is just an experiment in revealing different degrees of the background, and also colour manipulation/rendering. Let me know your preferences, if any.

Beautiful! I love the B&W's, but in this case the delicate colours in the (duh) coloured ones is magnificent.
I hope the Scotts will get what they want, these days.....

I like the fifth and sixth images the best. For me, the first two (and fourth) are cropped too closely (especially on the right hand side). In the third image the background catches my eye too much. The slight coloring adds a bit of interest to the images.
