The Tate Modern - the outside

Tech Support (and Marketing)
I have quite a few photos from London so im going to do them in little chunks.
These are the shots I took of the outside of the tate modern.
Shot with the Ricoh and XP2, corrected and dust removed in LR ... this lot came back from max speilman with a bit of a pink tint, so i got rid of that and very very slightly warmed them

Taken as we approached, the sun was shining from behind the clouds ... I had hoped for a bit of flare and I got it

We had a little bit of a look around and made our way to a balcony by a cafe and took this

As we left out of the side a plane flew over

We left via the millennium bridge

Like the simplicity of the plane shot.
As extraordinarily as that I am..... I think that's a Flybe plane ,'/
Favourite one is second to last....

#2 and #4 for me

I like the scale in #2 - it looks massive when you can see how many bricks are in that tower

In #4, I like the contrast of the old with the new construction - and the cranes echoing the tower and promising even more structures to come

Nice set, Hamish. I love that second one especially.

Thanks Brian :)

Excellent set Hamish (complete with the obligatory DSG!). I like especially the 2nd and the plane. Just a shame there wasn't a tiny bit more space between the 'A' and the tower in the first. Still, some fabulous compositions anyway.

whats DSG... I know what you mean about the A...
otherwise, thanks :)

i was supprised how big it is!

i'd say your trip to london was very successful photographic-wise. love these shots, never would have imagined the outside looked like this.

thanks Beth, more coming in a bit :)

I'm watching you Hamish [ner]
