one of the forgotten churches in north dakota that is in better condition than most. so of course this is the one slated to be demolished.

montana is a little more difficult, i spend a lot of time looking at blogs, flickr and 500px to get a general idea of where something is then scour the internet for more hints and then google maps.

Love these places - have my eye on a valley North of here by 4-5 hours with abandoned farm and such in it - maybe when the weather gets better
 
Now that is gorgeous, Beth. Love the way you have brought out the yellows (although from the title I thought this might be some sort of weird religion - sort of the antithesis of those that worship the blues!).
thanks pete. the blue church isn't bad, it's those green church goers you really have to watch for.

i did some editing experimentation in lightroom with this. i desaturated the blues and cyans to almost nothing and then adjusted the white balance until i found the right tones. it was much cooler than it should have been, but it works well for almost any shot that doesn't have blue skies.
