Thunderstorm Over Curber Edge

Took a late run out to Curber yesterday evening, to witness the end of the day. As usual for me when I go out to shoot a storm was brewing, with huge rumbles of thunder, thought I was going to get a pasting, but it just slid on by. Amazing angry sky though.

Thanks Brian
A bit of interesting reading for you the gritstone was also quarried to provide millstones used in grinding flour amongst other things.

Thanks for posting that, Nick. Enjoyed it. Seems I was a wee bit right about the Stone Age (mesolithic--middle stone age) activity, but substantially wrong about a fortress. Anyway, great shots and thanks again for posting the brochure.
