Undeveloped film

Hi everyone,

I just received a Praktica Super TL 1000 through the post today (only £1) and when I opened it up there was a half used film in there.

Anyone of you home developers fancy popping it through processing next time you are doing some?

Have no idea whether any of the photo's will come out as I opened the back up to find it in there. And if they do come out I can't guarantee they will be suitable for family viewing.

It's a roll of Tudor ISO 200 Colour C41.

Let me know if you fancy dev-ing it.

I think, and I'm very sure someone will correct me on this, I think I was told that you can get C41 film dev'd at a film developers like max spielmans, or boots, or some other commercial film developers.
But come to think about it..... I don't think it'd be worth it, once you open the back without winding the film... From previous experience.... It's a right off. :(

If only half of it was used that suggests the other half wasn't. If it were me I'd probably shoot the remainder (the film still inside the canister is protected from light) and then I'd cross-process the roll in B&W chems. (Dan: You're correct; C-41 is the color film process that Boots and all the other processing shops develop.) You never know, it might yield some images.

Just to add to Brain's post. Max Spielman will develop C41 film for about £2. Well worth it if you have a negative scanner at home.

I agreed with Dan. The film is most like ruined due to being exposed to light
