Urbex Twist

Dan Cattermole

Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
'Urbex' is short for Urban Exploration for those who are lost.
I love exploring places with 'keep out' signs all over the show, Its amazing whats behind closed doors.
Urban Exploration is a HUGE cult that takes place everywhere! I can see myself posting alot of these type of shots in the future. lol (sorry if your sick of the mask already :/) heheheee

Safety in numbers of course, had Curt and Sheepy with me.

Hahahaa!!! Alice in wonderland on acid!! :D :D :D
It'd just Alice in Wonderland pete, have you been taking the acid?? :D :D :D chuckling to bits here.
I've stupidly have only just realised about the last shot....... I think it's a bit distorted.. or is that my eyesight (and not acid pete. lol)?

Dan in Urbexland!! now I like that!! :D :D :D
I suppose I could get away with it pete :)

I love #2 and #3 - all that detail and the graffiti is a classic!

I bet these would also look ace as HDR and/or B&W Dan.

Looking forward to more :D

Everything Dan does requires an age warning....................:) glad I'm old enough................

Haha! Kev & Ade, do you think I should put as a thread title 'Dan in Wonderland 18+..........) lol

Thanks chris, HDR would be great, I don't have any means to do so unless you know of a good and cheap, if not free HDR software you could recommend Chris?

Dan, what are you using at the moment to tweak your images?

Here's a quick effort in Photoshop with Topaz filters - B&W on the 1st and Adjust 4 on the 2nd

Loving them Dan, the mask one's freak me right out and I think I like it :D

Oh wow, great stuff!
The only software I have used for the last year or so is LR 2.6 :/
I know I know, old school, but it works well for me.
I do have a copy of CS4 but having trouble installing it. Does that have topaz filters?? if so, I'll pull my finger out and speak to a computer wizz kid and get it on there. lol

Dan, Topaz works with Photoshop or Lightroom, or Aperture.

They are plug-ins, and you can buy the Adjust plug-in for $50 and the B&W for $60

Topaz Labs - Video and Image Enhancement Software

Adjust is the key one - as you can always go from there to B&W in your existing software.

The B&W is a nice to have - as it does lovely toning and has excellent control - but if you were buying one, I'd get Adjust.

A bit of an investment, but I have to say I'm very impressed with them

Thanks Chris. I'll definately look into those mentioned. Nice one :)
