Which new glass?

I think my camera is feeling neglected...

Which piece of glass should I treat it to:

10-22mm or a 16-35mm?

The little black number in a huff is a 5D2. It already has a 24-70mm and a 70-200mm to keep it company, in f2.8 outfits.

The Canon 10-22 is EF-S mount so wont fit full frame 5D as far as I know.

I own one and it is excellent on a 40D.

The 16-35mm looks nice for full frame

If Mark wants to go really wide on full frame then a 14mm 2.8 L looks the business, a bit spendy though

Yep, unfortunately as mentioned, EFS lenses don't play nicely on full frame bodies

16-35 is going to provide a nice wider view, and on the full frame, that wide is very wide!

Alternative could be the 15mm fisheye, which is much more manageable on price, is super sharp, and looks great on the FF camera

alternatively.. the 17-40 F4 L lens... a lot cheaper than a 16-35, a better useable range on a full frame body, and realistically, for the kind of photos it takes, the one stop loss in light isnt going to make any difference to you.

Its just as sharp as the 16-35
