Nice set, Chris. Amazing machine.
Thanks Brian - it is a stunner, so huge, yet with so much intricate detail.
The last time I saw it, it was on the launch pad ready to fly part of the International Space Station into orbit (STS-97)
It had been an ambition since I saw the Apollo missions on TV, to go to the Cape and watch a launch - so my space-mad school buddy and I flew from Blighty, and got to see a night launch in 2000.

The most impressive thing I've ever experienced.

Wow, certainly made the most of being there. Very well thought of shots, composition wise.
Thanks Dan - the entry to the exhibit was free, so I figured I'd do a walk-by with the super wide, then go back with the 35mm lens for some detail.

wonderful symmetry in #3 and #5. great tones in all of them.
Thanks Beth - lighting was fairly poor for hand-held photography, but the higher ISOs on the FUji still come up clean.
When the permanent exhibit is finished, they'll have the craft mounted vertically on it's tank and boosters, so this is a chance to see it close-up on the ground for a limited period.
Will be taking my sister's kids in the summer when they're over.
