This was a professional assignment for a real estate agent. The place is currently for sale for $1.8M if there are any takers out there! I'd love it but it's a bit too rich for my blood.

This was last night...

And the interior:

Well, it should certainly sell based on your pictures Darren

How did you balance the exterior daylight on the interior shot?

Thanks, Pete. I have to admit I am a bit of a sucker for the twilight shot.

Thanks, Chris. Balancing daylight and interior light is always a pain, yes. Of course, the proper way to do it, as you know, is to use lighting to balance it or use layer masks in PS, otherwise. But my shortcut for a quick & dirty solution to this is to shoot an exposure about mid-way between indoor and out and then pull it in both directions in PP. That's what I did here.

Thanks, Pete! It's really the best time of day to shoot, because it's so easy to balance the light between indoors and out.

spectacular (I'm running out of words of praise when commenting on your threads Darren)

It's hard to get used to your style of shooting, I've come across photographers that impress me & after following 3,4, maybe 5 shoots I get a bit bored of their style, not speaking of anyone in the forum but generally if I follow someone on facebook or something along those lines. With your shots I find myself impressed and attracted to the image further every time I see something new from you sir.

Well, thank you, Fidel. I very much appreciate the nice comments and am glad to hear that I haven't bored you yet - although no worries if I do - I have certainly bored people before! In any case, for me every building and house is different and presents a different challenge for how to photograph it. I never get tired of finding the best solutions. Always welcome critiques, too, of course!

I have just spent about 20 minutes browsing your website, I don't think I'll be getting bored anytime soon ;)

yes I do
