Why is is that other countries look picturesque when they get a dusting of snow yet British cities just clog up and look dreary and all horrible?
Oh and I can see no drivers struggling with the treacherous road conditions
Interesting metal picket fencing, is it just aesthetic or does it has a purpose other than screening the aircon/heater units ?

It's the decorative cladding on one of the newer buildings on the waterfront. This was taken from my hotel room. From across the water it looks a bit like a giant birds nest.

At the end of November there was chaos here as some unexpected snow fell overnight and the trains etc stopped running for a few hours. Mind, it was 0.5m!
