A taste of the Seventies

Sorry for disappearing so suddenly. I'm hoping to be more active going forward. I haven't been taking many photos, but I've added to my equipment collection. This is my first shot with an SX-70 I added to my collection last week. I ordered some film from the Impossible Project and a few flash bars on ebay. The film came today, so I took a shot of my cluttered camera display.

We all take time out from here, John. It's good for the place.

Well, it's a fun shot. I have a Fuji wide-angle instamatic, which is great fun to use. Good to have you back. I can't say much about your collection, other than where's the RB67?

Now there's a fine collection, and the Impossible film has given it a nice, period feel. Is that Pez dispenser?!
The first thing my son said when he saw the photos was, "Wow! Looks like the 70's" I think the film looks like an original SX-70 photo that has been laying in a drawer for a few years. The colors are duller and there is less contrast. At least, according to my 30 year old memories. And, no, that's not a Pez dispenser. I had a Sunpak flash like that on my original OM-1, so I found one of the same model to add to the collection.

The RB67 is sitting on a table on the other side of the room. It was in the upper-left square on the top shelf, but that is now the spot for the Polaroid.

So what is the thing on the LH side of the centre square? I'm intrigued.
Oh, that... That is a piece of glass my son made. He was experimenting, so it's not really a "thing." It would make a nice plant spike. I end up with a lot of their experiments or less successful pieces. Some are too nice to toss into the trash, so they end up in my little collection.

Collection coming on well John. Agree with the horse headed thingy looks cool
Thanks, Martin. I seem to have been bitten by the collecting bug. I am now the proud owner of 10 cameras (8 film, 2 digital), 16 lenses (more to come), and quite a few accessories, like filters, film backs, flashes, etc... The next step is to start developing my own b&w shots. I think I'll shoot more if I develop my own film.
