With apologies to Rense. I had a go at his technique while I was out yesterday. It certainly isn't easy!

They almost look like purple flames in this shot - very cool
 
Hmmm... I'm still not sure. I much prefer what Rense did, but even on 100 acres, our neighbours have a total absence of straight trees. I would have preferred more blur, but you end up losing the trees if they curve. And then where do you go with the processing? Complete artistic freedom sounds great, but I'm obviously no artist. Full marks to Rense - it really is very difficult indeed :)
