A bit of a storm blew through this afternoon, got home just in time to set the camera up.

That's some serious weather, looks like the bit in 'Flash Gordon' where Ming starts messing with the Earth's weather...

I like the exciting electricity of the first two, but my favourite is the beautiful post-storm sky of the third.

how were you triggering for the lightning Darren?

Everything was a bit rushed, i just put it on shutter priority at 1sec and set the intervalometer at 1 sec. Next time i think i'll try 3 sec maybe more, i did seem to miss a few of the strikes. I have a wireless remote with intervalometer. Still it's my best attempt yet. The first time i was using a 10sec exposure but it was taking 10sec to write to the card so i kept missing the lightning strikes. Turned out to be caused by all the noise reduction setting in the camera, turned them off and now have a fast write speed.
