Hmmmmm.... but it's the first time I'm shooting with a camera which gives me no direct information about focus.... Well... we'll see....

Well, Mr PayPal has just been busy sending $$$ back to Blighty for my 50s compact

Took me ages to find something I liked the look of - but then I came across the Ilford Advocate

I had trouble figuring out what qualified as a 50s camera, took ages - but then I found this useful website:

1950s era Classic Cameras

Lot's of useful suggestions and you can get a good look around most of them with 360 degree views.

Ive just got an Ilford sportsman, Im pretty sure I ordered an earlier model 1 or 2 which are in the 1950s but it seems I have now got a model 4....from 1960...DAMMIT lol I will just have to buy another camera, perhaps an Agfa Silette which I was going to go for before I decided on the sportsman, ah well its in good condition at least
