Cheap as Chips Challenge! RPF Photo Competition

although im wondering what hope we have when Brian pull stuff like this out the bag

Well thats it then, might as well save me tenner...............:( nah really reckon we could all make a pact not to vote for Brian...:D only joking Brian, I love your stuff and also looking forward to seeing everyones newold pics :)

It's amazing what you can get for a tenner. Looking forward to mastering this thing too. It has a case and instructions!! Looking forward to seeing everyone's results! :)

I read the rules again, Dan, before posting the question; granted,...film is mentioned in the context of the tenner, but digital is not excluded per se.

Hahaha!! I'll let you battle than one out with Hamish. :D :D :D

Some wise choices so far ...
80s/90s cameras have more modern lens coatings that tend to produce higher contrast images ...
Possibly a good thing where no pp is allowed!

... Unless of course a vintage feel is what you are after?? ;)

wow i soooooo love this idea Hamish......i haven't ever EVER used a film camera.......... don't even remember seeing a roll of film in real life.

So i may need some help from RPF to show me what i do with film.......haha

GAME ON..........!!

Come on folks no excuses lets ALL have a crack at this...........loads of fun and a real challenge if you as me :-)

Balls!! Put some batteries in the Pentax, zoom is jammed/seized (auto), focus element (auto) seized, split lens hatch protector (auto) takes about 15 presses of the button to fully open, oh, and the flash doesn't work :( so basically anything controlled by a motor has had a long rest of 20 years of no use. So now nothing wants to move. Lol.
Oh well, I'll find another...... :)

They asked me what I thought it was worth I pointed out the lens has a screw mount so is usless for anything else and you cannot get other lenses for it anymore lol shutter seems to be working and all the internals are doing what there supposed to I will pick up a roll of film friday when I go near jessops (Tried the chemists today and they looked at me as if I had gone mad) I can always sell it on ebay after christmas lol

Yeah, I'll be in town too Hamish.
There's that frame shop opposite holland & Barrets that sells a few oldies in there. worth a visit if you've never been. :)
I've donated a few Halina Paulettes there a few months back..... eeewwww!!
but na, seriously, he's got some decent stuff. :)
