I quite like this. Cuts a lot out but just has a few elements that say something about the character. Also like the way his eye is staring just above his glasses.

And he does have a touch of the Elvis Costello look about him! I like the grainy mono look but to there seems to be something in either the crop or the angle that doesn't quite work for me but I can't work out what.

It's the crop Pete ... It's wrong ... It looked better with him on the left ... But it also looked a bit obvious ... I'm not 100% about it ... But I fancied trying to make it look uncomfortable ...
It's odd actually Paul ... With the crop the other way, he looks more cheeky, whereas this way he looks more sinister ... I I think about it tomo I'll show you...

For some reason it reminds me of Chris Evans....

One point, having the eye in frame, I think it should be pin sharp rather than the glasses.

Over all I like the look - definitely looks like a media shot for music/TV

believe it or not it was taken on a sony compact down the pub
i have tried to sharpen the eye ... but the grain i used (for petes benefit) sorta softens it ...

anyway... what crop works for who... just out of interest like
