Dan Down Project 366

7/366

Ha! Rule number one! Can only happen to me.
I must say though folks, I haven't stopped all day, work... Work.....and more work.
I've been to Weston super mud and back, spoke shaving chairs down, cutting grass, cleaning.... And now I'm off out tonight on a last minute urbex mission.... Just haven't had time to get in the laptop to upload anything. So...... As I'm on my iPhone I took this today as I'm trying to keep up with the project.....

Here's some shavings

spoke shaving chairs down
Wait,...are you a chair maker, Dan? (I love using a spoke shave. I spoke shaved the hell out of a ****load of "green" red oak when I made my antique windsor chair a few years ago. Love the shavings fotie you've posted. What kind of wood is it?

My hands a killing me from doing that all day...... But as you know, the satisfaction of peel coming of is just great..
I 90% sure they're oak chairs, they're a good 60 year old plus...

This is not my entry but as we're in the subject....

Can't post any more.... I ruining the thread. :/

I picked them up a set of 4 for 25 notes in Ludlow a couple of months back, and they've been painted with baby blue/pale turquoise. So does not go with our furniture, so I'm bringing them back the the bone, smoothing, and then bees waxing them to match our 1930's vintage shabby dining table.
The trouble is, it's taking me so long to do them, because there is alot of surface area, and difficult to get to.
Should be a good photography set when I've finished ! :)

Then it's the bed side table next! :/

Ha! I went to homebase to ask for a spoke shaver the other day.... It took 6 people scratching their heads to work that one out!
I have up and went else where! Lol

I used my 50 f1.8 on this shot.
Now, I HATED using ISO 1200 upwars as the noise/grain was terrible... however, I've just taken a new liking to hardcore grainy shot that can be produced from my Oly, and this is 3200, and B&W would be nice on this.........

Think might hit the over pass on the A90 myself soon for a pic or 3. I like the way these turn out very cool Dan

Thanks guys..
I'm with you too on that one KK, the variation is brilliant and it comes to show (even at day 9) how much pressure to think up something on the day there is!! This is going to be a right challenge this is..... enjoyable seeing others work though! :) :)

wow very nice i still haven't tried this from above, probably due to the nearest bypass or similar with a bridge for me to stand on is about 60 miles away :-)
