Dan Down Project 366

Nice ones dan. I've tried a shot like #9 before.. Totally failed because lets face it. Tamworth trafic is usually 6 cars stuck behind a tractor lol. i was op the top of this building for at least an hour and did not get one shot of cars going both ways! lol. Yours came out well :)

I thought I'd leave my set up in the garage as it was so I could go back to it and get another shot for today of my Conway, :)
Nothing inspirational. but more of a fill-in for today's shot.

May do something different tomorrow :/
Does anyone else feel like they're running out of ideas? like they need to take random shots just to fill in the daily gap?

Think we will all have days like that DD, just keep posting thats the way, inspiration is never far away, it's time that obstructs...I've had no time for the shoots tonight c'est la vie :D

Nice studio shot BTW :)

I remember an interesting series of pictures taken by someone (over a ten year period I think) where he went to a particular corner and took a picture there at the same time every day. Maybe you could try something similar - or for example at the same spot every day on the way to work and fill in at weekends and holidays with other images.

Dan this is where it gets good tho as its now getting down to the non staged spur of moment stuff that will show our skillz :D :D

OMFG Its only day 11 Dan, you cant start feeling like that so soon, i hope this isnt early signs of defeat........!! May have to have whip dans a$$ forum meet down town if it is :p

That's something I always had in mind since I picked up a camera!
Almost like documenting (example) the tree that you spent alot of time around during your childhood, watching it grow, change!
Or a building. etc. Am I on the right track there??

Spot on Dan.

I think there are a number of things in photography that are really interesting. One is this ability to capture moments in time and then repeat it so that isolated events take on some sort of coherence due to the location (ie same shot, same place, but at different times). Another is the element of memory especially when one takes a picture that has a deep personal connection (or one is created) and one manages to reflect that in the images themselves (there is a great series of images in a copy of Ag where a lady has returned to the house of her grandparents and taken pictures or details in the house at the eye level she would have had as a child - you can really sense the impact they made). Yet another are images where there is a mystery involved - a bit like your self portrait where you are looking out of the frame (at what, why?) or where there is something unfolding but it is unclear what (this is something I and am especially interested in am pursuing - all will be revealed later this year!!).

Pete not sure if you saw countryfile on sunday night and there was a bit about how david hockney did this on a country lane in yorkshire for a year. Ok he didnt use photography so much it was more his art (all ipad diigital art) and video. Think thats the basis for his new expo at thats about to open

Looking forward to seeing what it is you are pursuing Pete :)
I'm most definately all up for that idea, just struggling to thing what it is that would motivate me to do it, some inpspiring subject that would make me committ to it.
Hmmmmm, thoughts?! What could I do? This is not going to be easy!

Pete, I take my hat off to you!
You don't own a tv? I would LOVE to not have a tv but the wife can't cope,
If I was a single man, on my own, the last thing I'd have in my place would be a tv. :)

I dont know what's worse, not having a tv and paying for a license, or having a tv and watching the utter s**t that's on the box these days! :D:D:D
