I think there are a number of things in photography that are really interesting. One is this ability to capture moments in time and then repeat it so that isolated events take on some sort of coherence due to the location (ie same shot, same place, but at different times). Another is the element of memory especially when one takes a picture that has a deep personal connection (or one is created) and one manages to reflect that in the images themselves (there is a great series of images in a copy of Ag where a lady has returned to the house of her grandparents and taken pictures or details in the house at the eye level she would have had as a child - you can really sense the impact they made). Yet another are images where there is a mystery involved - a bit like your self portrait where you are looking out of the frame (at what, why?) or where there is something unfolding but it is unclear what (this is something I and am especially interested in am pursuing - all will be revealed later this year!!).
