From a Chinese website (mobile01.com) - some of the most detailed product shots, and excellent sample shots from all three lenses. The samples look stunning - really nice image quality.

Actual Fujinon lenses—all three on order. Lest you may think that Fujinons are a poor replacement for Zeiss, having shot on an industrial level for years with both, I can assure you they are not. Zeiss has been in the consumer market for ages, while Fujinons have been strictly industrial. Thus Zeiss is more familiar. Both are about as good as it gets.

Totally new sensor unlike anything before, that is being reported the equal of full-frame quality even with pre-production cameras. No AA filter needed.

A bag weight of only 967g with all three lenses—less than the weight of my D700 body alone!

My ultimate urban, walkin'-'round, shootin'-stuff kit. I have been waiting a decade and a half for this camera, since I passed by the Contax G2, which it greatly resembles in digital form.

Just heard, no current support for the RAW image format from the X-Pro1 in LR or PS yet :(

They are 'working on it'

Won't be long though I guess. Actually that caused me to do a search and one of the links took me to DPR, and I foolishly followed it. Someone said that the unusual pixel orientation would cause problems - no idea if that's true. Anyway I read a bit further down the thread - what a bunch of..!! Serves me right I suppose!! ;)

Standard operating procedure. In the past, had to often wait a month or two after getting the camera before a version of ACR supporting it is announced. I expect that it may have something to do with the maker not releasing details until final firmware is established. In other cases, makers may not put much of a priority on sharing data. With all cameras I have purchased, the camera maker bundled some pretty awful converter software that gets one through. Of course, shooting RAW+JPEG also works.

If the XP1 is like my X100, there is an excellent RAW converter built in which allows all the JPEG settings to be applied after the shot. Multiple versions of an image are supported, and of course, the RAW image is also preserved. The converter software bundled with the X100 was pretty dismal.
