Had a bit of a mess around tonight, got a bit bored, grabbed to camera, mask, and set up a 'studio' in the garage, and took a few pictures....

To be fair, I know many of you have seen the 'mask' on a few occasions in the past, but these I am really happy with. Profile picture or what?!?! lol

I was thinking if anyone could have a mess around with the spuare cropped image to give it an 'aged' to give it rough looking 'canvas/photo' I don't have any filters at the moment for that type of thing.

Nah, thanks kev. I've seen a picture on flickr about a year ago and it really inspired me to do something like it. I'll see if I can dig it out from it.

yeah, I suppose so.....
Try something on the first picture..... maybe some sort of 'coffe ringed', crease lined looked. I really don't know.
Just not sure what it needs really..

I used Topaz B&W filter with a coffee tone and added grain...

I slipped up on the tutorial vid, I revealed my identity. I knew I should of done it in the mask. Lol

Dan - this thing is just downright sinister - couldn't resist having a play...

The long thin shape of the mask fitted a long thin crop - so I extended the bottom of the image to allow the head to be positioned higher in the frame.

Extra contrast added in PS - re-toned to neutral, then cyan added to the mid-tones.

Airbrushed in the backdrop so the halo was more contained around the head.

Chris, what you've done here, is manipulated this image into something that I didn't expect.
I ****ing love it!!! Wasn't sure what this image needed TBH, many thanks to ade for helping out, I do appreciate your input.
But chris, oh chris, this has knocked the nail on the head. Love the way that it elongated the image just by changing the crop.

She done a project called Smudge that is quite disturbing to look at but interesting all the same. The Smudge project photos seem to be mixed up with others on the home page so you may have to go through all of them. The Smudge ones are with the models in strange outfits and masks, stocking on their heads etc. Not sure if your find in interesting or not but thought you might want to have a look.
