I found a tool called ExifTool Gui today.
It seems to be a Gui for a thing called ExifTool by Phil Harvey
It is very very slightly fiddly to install, but seems to do a very good job!
It's certainly revealed 2 useful/interesting things to me already today, my Nikon d3 shutter count and the fact that apparently the x100 has face detection!
