Fake Runner

This was strange. Walking Sadie long the beach front one night a few weeks ago (that's Sadie in the foreground), I became aware that the fellow taking the picture had been asked by the fellow he's taking a picture of to take a picture of the fellow pretending to run. So the runner was running in place as the photographer, a mere passer-by I gathered, used the runner's camera to take his picture "running."

It all happened in an instant and I was only able to get a quick, un-composed, shot off with the XA.

Superbly surreal Brian. And even more odd that he'd gone out jogging in a space suite left over from 2001: A Space Odyssey!

Surreal is a good word for it. In my mind's eye I see what I actually saw, which of course the image can't show you. What I actually saw was Fake Runner not just jogging in place for his fotie, but jogging a foot or so forward then a foot or so backward then forward/backward again--all the while grinning--until the press-ganged photographer got the snap. And he had a kind of beanie-cap with a pommel on top. Yes,...surreal it truly was.
