I must be bored.
I downloaded HeliconFocus, set up this little tableau, took 25 jpgs at different focus points, and imported the lot into HeliconFocus.
In about three, maybe five seconds, out popped this image. I opened it in Lightroom 6, and increased contrast a little.
Now, it doesn't look very sharp to me, which I'm actually pleased about. I set the Monochrom to soft focus in expectation that the final image would be ultra sharp. The result looks almost hand drawn, which is a surprise. The lens was the 7Artisans 75mm, 1.25 at full aperture.
Not sure I will use it much, but the experience has been informative. What do you think of it? Looks more like a pen and ink drawing to me. Odd.
