Going wide...

Most motorsports is shot with long telephotos, with the photographer behind the security fencing, catching the distant action on track.

However, if you can get yourself into the pits, perhaps during a practice session, you can change things up a little, and go WIDE for a different view of the sport.

Here's the Canon 15mm fisheye, at California Speedway - giving a different perspective on the cars and drivers.

Wow! Really different perspective. So different from the usual compressed look you get from a telephoto.
