Hello just joined after seeing Hamish mention it on Pixel.

I am the manager of a small independent shop in Tunbridge Wells still alive and surviving in these hard times.

I take photos when i can, with Macro and Landscapes being my preferred area using a Nikon D3 with various lenses (along with Nikon F/F2/F3/F90x/F100/F6.... you get the idea)

I hope to be able to supply information when i can, and always enjoy reading others posts about how they have done things/problems they have overcome.

Will post something more when there is time.

must be a tough business to be in, what with the big boys like Jessops, and the InterWebs.

I'm guessing that customer service is a cornerstone of keeping folk coming through the door?

Yup the "big boys" do tend to take a large slice of pie, but customer service/knowledge about the products we sell keeps people coming back.

We also do a large range of printing services and can do any thing from 1mm x 1mm to 44" x 10metres if required (although would hate to imagine the cost of that), along with scanning and re-touching including restoration.

so we are here, we will stay and i hope to be able to contribute much to the site.
