[Rense Haveman]

Visited Havelte today, with it's large megalithic graves... Tried to shoot the one with the catalogue number D54, you can find it somewhere in the internet, I guess... 5000 yrs old.....

We call them 'Hunebed' (plur. 'Hunebedden')

That first shot has so much atmosphere with the clouds streaming way/towards the subject - and that lovely texture in the stones.

The vignette really helps to focus the attention on the subject, and add mystery to the overall scene.

Really nice treatment and great composition - loving the bare trees in #1 and #2 as well.

Everything here works for me Rense particularly ...with Girl, we often shoot trying to avoid human intervention but I think it adds both life, to a 'dead' thing and a sense of mystery, great pp.

I love these shots, the way thousands of years of viewing has been captured. The person in the 3rd shot really gives me a sense of scale, too.
