Needing inspiration

So... here I sit in suburban Solihull (south east of Birmingham), with not much on this weekend. I've not taken any photos to speak of since the new year, and am itching to do so.

I don't want to sit in and do anything creative in the house, I want to get OUT of the house, and go take some photos.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is: grey, cloudy, and wet in the middle of the day. And cold.

I'm completely lacking in inspiration. Anyone got any good ideas of how to break the creative torpor?

Yes I did... I felt rather inadequate by comparison!

This link is also good for indoor projects: PhotoRadar

I don't have a tripod or macro lens which is a bit limiting though.

your very close to Black Country Museum there aint ya..........plenty of opportunities there..........

i went for a walk around a local country park earlier this week, to try and get some good images of all the birds & swans there, i am about to upload them...........was a nice walk & passed a few hours............if the pics are any good or not is another story.........lol

Thanks Darren. The Black Country Museum is over the opposite side of the city, about 45 minutes.

It's the cold, wet forecast that's putting me off that sort of trip, or a country park...

Whats a feeling inadequacy if it's not motivation to improve?
Motivation to improve is surely inspiration if nothing else?
I often look at stuff that is way better than what I can produce and work out how to make it ... Sometimes I can't, but that in it's self is inspiration to learn more.

ok ok ok..........get out into town find a suitable dry place and people watch in the wet damp conditions............?

i have always wanted to do this, yet failed in as i dont have the courage.........lol

Thanks for the ideas!

The motor museum is a good idea Chris, will check it out. And thanks too Laurie, most of those places are familiar to me but I needed a memory jog.

Will report back...
