I find this image extremely beautiful. It looks like a miniature model – but in the best possible sense. In my own small way, I would have loved to have a photo representing this point of view when I shot this one: https://realphotographersforum.com/threads/humid-planet-detail.26563/

Please don’t take offence, @Beth Anthony, if I dare to suggest a very vague similarity – it’s just a flight of my imagination.
no offense taken, there is a strong similarity between the two photos, despite the fairly large difference in subject matter and size. i think a lot of drone images look like model images due to the higher pov that most associate with looking down at a model. one of the first things you learn in toy photography is to get a low perspective so that it doesn't look like a toy.

That is worderful, Beth. I love the tones and composition. The smokey background adds a lot and I like the ambiguity / conflict of it ‘just’ being a gorgeous view with the fact that an element of that was the result of wild-fires that are likely part of an environmental collapse that could well destroy this view completely.

I think this could well be one of the best landscape shot taken with a drone that have ever seen. :)

thanks pete. the smoke from the wildfires seemed to be from vancouver, canada. the smoke plume covered the country from south dakota to the atlantic. it's become a yearly issue on my road trips.
