no offense taken, there is a strong similarity between the two photos, despite the fairly large difference in subject matter and size. i think a lot of drone images look like model images due to the higher pov that most associate with looking down at a model. one of the first things you learn in toy photography is to get a low perspective so that it doesn't look like a toy.

The smokey background adds a lot and I like the ambiguity / conflict of it ‘just’ being a gorgeous view with the fact that an element of that was the result of wild-fires that are likely part of an environmental collapse that could well destroy this view completely.

I think this could well be one of the best landscape shot taken with a drone that have ever seen.

thanks pete. the smoke from the wildfires seemed to be from vancouver, canada. the smoke plume covered the country from south dakota to the atlantic. it's become a yearly issue on my road trips.
