New lens

Hi All

Took the plunge this evening and purchased the 18mm F2.0 for the x Pro-1. Should be here tomorrow ready for the weekend to give it a try. I am taking a lot of street shots sometimes in confined spaces so hopefully this will help.

Interesting to here views on the lens from other members.

Congrats - 18mm lens is fabulous, sure you'll love the wideness

You might want to consider the JJC rear-end cap if you have a few quid left over - unlike the Fuji rear caps, the JJC ones stay on!

No complaints, though I would appreciate wider. The 14mm is definitely on the shopping list, though a 16mm would be a nice compromise. Shooting people pictures in available darkness this past weekend and it did great.

14mm is definitely on the list - agreed

Beth has the best 12mm that will fit - now that's wide!

I do have the full-frame 14-24mm for the D700. 114° which is pretty much wide enough.

as chris said, the voigtlander 12mm is still pretty wide on the x-pro 1. and no need to spend much effort focusing either..
