New Year, New Medium

Otherwise know as Zooey
Well, not exactly new, but I finally caught up with the back log of everything else and now I'm scanning my old film again. I found a new technique for removing dust and scratches, but it seems to work best combined with the old methods, so it still takes just as long. Never mind... I find it therapeutic.

Taken a few years ago in Camden Town with my trusty OM2n. I have a mind to take it up there again before the end of the winter :)

Wow - lovely stuff Lesley, worth the time and effort to scan and clean-up

Love the framing with the arched doorway

I don't think it's anything new @Paul Lange. I just fit it into my normal work flow, which is all pixel changes on a PSB layer tucked under the main layer. (Right click on the background layer in CS5 and select edit). This video shows the method

although it seems to work better for lots of small spots, so in a sky maybe. I don't like it for scratches because you can still follow the OOF line, so I do a mixture of heal tool and clone brush (the latter for problem areas with changes in tone) :)
