A good friend and fellow X-Pro1 shooter in Blighty just purchased this lens, and he's super happy with it.

Says the lens is better than the 18mm at that end of the zoom, and is extremely sharp throughout with little/no CA.

Just pour more fuel on that raging out of control Fuji GAS fire I have burning Beth....

Resistance if futile. I'm trying to fight it one day at time, but I'm sure I will get it. I actually had it in the cart and on the check out page at Adorama yesterday at work before I closed the page in shaking fit of sweats. They are giving you a free Fuji protection filter with it. Cruel merciless mercantile camera dealers toying with my emotions like that.
