People Under The Pier

The person in the distance caught my attention while the fellow in the foreground was sitting on the sand just in front of my vantage point. As I composed the image, however, he up and walked off, disappointing me some.

Shot this with my Kiev 4a and Kodak Ektar 100 film.

It looks light his eyes are shut and you've caught him walking into the post!!! :D:D
Great shot Brian. :)

Great shot Brian. :)
Maybe that would knock some sense into him and teach him to stay put while I'm setting aperture, shutter speed and focus! ;) Anyway, thank you Dan!

People just don't do what they are supposed to.... Glad he got up though - gave good movement to the shot.
People confound me right, left and center! Life would be so much simpler if they'd just do what I want. ;) Thanks Rob.

Great tones Brian and I like the contrast between the standing figure in the distance and the moving one. I can almost imagine that the person in the distance has their arms outstretched like some latter day prophet that the moving man is either ignoring or has failed to notice. Maybe he is leaving this modern cathedral!!

Thanks, Pete. After the man moved out of the frame I took another shot with just the person in the distance in it. I was trying to decide which to post and I opted for this one,...I guess because of the contrast you mentioned. And speaking of tones, the second shot has a different tone to the color, even though it was taken just a moment later with no adjustments to the exposure settings. Anyway, thanks again Pete!
