Phone Box

I can't remember the last time I saw a phone box/booth here in Los Angeles. I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for one.

In any event ... great series.
Thanks Gary. They're fast becoming extinct here too. Some are being repurposed as mini food banks, libraries and defibrillator stations.

Well, it's been a while since I posted on RPF and even longer since this thread has been troubled with a new post!

The project has continued though, with plenty more shots of Lancaster life through the filter of sorely abused windows.

Great to see more of the recents from this body of work Chris- thanks for posting them here for the collective enjoyment. Open handed is a particularly powerful image to me; the loss of direct and simple communication.

Thanks Wes.
There are a few more to come yet!

The repurposing is a great idea. They're just being yanked out here.
As it happens, earlier this month, a sign appeared to announce that they were coming to take it away...

I moved quickly when I saw the sign and contacted the press office of BT, the phone provider. I was astounded that they agreed to me hosting a pop-up exhibition inside the now disabled kiosk.

That was Friday of last week.
We go live this Saturday!
