That would be a booth, Gary!O M G! These are amazing.
(Not all are amazing ... but enough to call the entire series amazing.)
PS- What is a Phone Box? (I don't believe we have them in the colonies.)

Thank you LucaAmazing, as always.
Thank you Gary.Brilliant project and great shots!
I can't remember the last time I saw a phone box/booth here in Los Angeles. I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for one. That would be a booth, Gary!
Thanks Gary. They're fast becoming extinct here too. Some are being repurposed as mini food banks, libraries and defibrillator stations.I can't remember the last time I saw a phone box/booth here in Los Angeles. I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for one.
In any event ... great series.
The repurposing is a great idea. They're just being yanked out here. Thanks Gary. They're fast becoming extinct here too. Some are being repurposed as mini food banks, libraries and defibrillator stations.
Great to see more of the recents from this body of work Chris- thanks for posting them here for the collective enjoyment. Open handed is a particularly powerful image to me; the loss of direct and simple communication.Well, it's been a while since I posted on RPF and even longer since this thread has been troubled with a new post!
The project has continued though, with plenty more shots of Lancaster life through the filter of sorely abused windows.

Thanks Bethlove the set. glad you're still doing these shots.
As it happens, earlier this month, a sign appeared to announce that they were coming to take it away...The repurposing is a great idea. They're just being yanked out here.
I was astounded that they agreed to me hosting a pop-up exhibition inside the now disabled kiosk.
Now you are embarrassing me, Luca!I’ve been looking back at some of your Portrait Mode shots — honestly, I’m so impressed by what you can do. And your captions are just unbeatable.

I moved quickly when I saw the sign and contacted the press office of BT, the phone provider. I was astounded that they agreed to me hosting a pop-up exhibition inside the now disabled kiosk.
That was Friday of last week.
We go live this Saturday!

This all about you, Mr. Chris. If you desire to add or not add captions it's your call. But you know that. Keep doing what you're doing ... it works. Now you are embarrassing me, Luca!
Thank you so much for the kind words.
It's true, I do lean quite heavily on the titles I give to my photos. Some people hate to see them and regard them as props to support lower quality work. To me, the two work hand in hand. So much so, that I sometimes just look for a phrase or wordplay that describes what I see before me and this often inspires me to explore the possibilities of capturing the scene.
Humour has a big role in my worldview and friends tell me that my character runs through my work. I guess you could call it a personal style.
Ha-that's what my 3-year old grandson calls me!You are The Man!!!!!! Amazing that you thought of an Exhibit. Amazing you called. Amazing they agreed. The entire thing is Amazing! You are Mr. Chris from here-on-out.
