It's a known fact that in time hills get bigger. At least here in the NL.

I still laugh at a tourist brochure for the Netherlands which said, "Come and see our flat landscape!" Well, we did, and it was indeed flat.

I miss the South Downs a lot. Though not tall, they have some of the steepest slopes I have ever climbed. Especially in some of the wooded areas - the reason they have trees is because they are too steep for sheep. Or shepherds.

Thank you Chris. Yes, some of those slopes are steep, particularly the scarp slopes on the northern side. I do have to pause to get my breath back a few times while getting to the top.
