San Diego from Point Loma

Took the 300mm up to Point Loma this evening, overlooking the bay, and San Diego.

It's a nice viewpoint as you have the yacht club in the foreground, the bay, the city, then the distant mountains.

Nice evening light there Chris. It' a shame about the haze though. But I guess that is typical of the view.

Yesterday was actually pretty clear for the area, which is why I took the shot.

Probably only really clear after rain, so I'll have to wait till sometime in the autumn!

I think it's clearest after rains, yes. Also in the winter months. And then, you have the added advantage of snow in the mountains behind the city.
