On first glimpse I thought they were shelves of old paper documents. Makes for an interesting picture and the little lines of shadow must have given me the impression of shelves. Enjoyable picking out all the different textures in the different blocks.
I presume it is wood cladding Peter?

Cedar cladding and shelves of books is exactly what I thought as well. I even toyed with inverting the tones.
