Some Black & White Wedding Shots

Tech Support (and Marketing)
Some more from a recent wedding ... I posted a comment on one of @Lee Webb's photos about my black and white technique so thought I'd show a couple of shots that I've used it on. It basically involves lowering the contrast but upping the blacks and whites to end up with images with a high contrast look but nice smooth midtones for skin tone

Comments of course welcome!

It works a treat Hamish.

I especially like the shot of the bride arriving. Nicely handled in such and intimate venue and it had a very relaxed feel to it.

I recognise some of those dodgy characters in the 5th shot - there was a free bar I take it! ;)

Crackers Hamish - love #2 especially for the DOF and the high key backdrop

Agree with Pete on the bridal arrival shot - class :)

There is feeling I get in these pics. I can't really find the right word...but for the lack of a better one I think calming is close. They aren't as mechanical as most. Your technique contributes a great deal to that. Anyways...bottom line...Really nice work.

Thanks Glenn! I think the subject helps, it was a very laid back wedding!
