Critique Welcomed Sunset at Moonlight

We are currently under a jet stream of cold air from Canada - which is dry and very very clear.

This led to lovely skies this evening at Moonlight Beach, Encinitas.

They are a great set, the second is my favourite though...

Thanks for putting a bit of sun in our lives....

Thanks everyone - I love that twilight time from sunset through to about 40 mins after - I saw two photographers heading home as soon as the sun set, and i was thinking it was just getting interesting!

Thanks Pete - I had to take a dozen frames to get one with the ball in the air!

Hard to estimate when using the 2 sec timer :D

Another polished effort by Chris again. Do you use something like vieza in order to get them to look some smooth and dynamic?

I do use Viveza Paul - well spotted!

Although I also own NIK Dfine for noise reduction, I didn't use it on these shots - just locked the ISO at 200 and used a tripod for max IQ. Came out nice and smooth that way.

Viveza is great for saturation adjustments, and a little structure as well - I then used a control point or six to keep the silhouettes black in the foreground with a negative brightness adjustment.

Not sure how I survived all these years without NIK - really good user friendly software
