Nothing beat hands gripping a camera with your eye to the viewfinder.Sometimes I think it would be cool to get drone shots but I doubt that I need one.
I thought similarly for a time, and would say if you can try a friends out first to see how you like it- just keep away from trees and objects to beginSometimes I think it would be cool to get drone shots but I doubt that I need one.
Couldn’t agree more.Nothing beat hands gripping a camera with your eye to the viewfinder.
Thanks Gianluca, the close up shots are a neat trick to make the most from low res sensors I’ve found.Wes Hall. Love first one in particular.

except maybe having your head stuck in a pair of fpv goggles as you watch the ground hurtling at you at 60 mph and hoping you've timed the dive just right.Couldn’t agree more.
Okay that’s definitely a way I’ve not experienced drones yet and does sound fun Beth- do you do racing for another hobby?sweet! the mavic my choice as a photo drone, but i had the fun opportunity to fly a mini into a stairwell a dozen times at work.

nope, i don't race, i've got a cinewhoop drone for shooting video. goggles are the only screen option unless i want to plug a tablet into the goggles. which i might honestly do cause the goggle are ridiculous.Okay that’s definitely a way I’ve not experienced drones yet and does sound fun Beth- do you do racing for another hobby?
... I was waiting for you to chime in. If I had my way ... I'd rather be strapped in, balancing on a helicopter's rail, gripping a camera ... viewfinder glued to my eye ... snapping away.sweet! the mavic my choice as a photo drone, but i had the fun opportunity to fly a mini into a stairwell a dozen times at work.

i use a drone at work and bought a mavic 2 for myself at home. the pictures from my first drone were pretty crappy, bad iq, not many mp and very little dynamic range. but the views were cool and the practice was good for work. i mainly used drones to scout areas i couldn't see to decide if a waterfall or other point of interest was worth trekking back to.... (I've considered a drone. A friend has been bugging me to go 50:50 with him on a drone. I think after an initial trial or two ... I'd rarely, if ever, use the sucker.)
