The Flight

I've been coming back to this image every now and then. I have been wanting some shots of crows blurred in flight. This is sort of the same idea but pigeons and, as it was in the centre of Torun it wasn't easy to get a shot without buildings etc. Especially with a range finder!

I love this shot. Earlier this year a flock of pigeons swooped around and above me at incredible speed. They came from behind, thus surprising me. When I realized what was happening I tried to get a shot off with my Brownie Hawkeye. Failed to get a decent shot though, unfortunately. I think about that missed shot from time-to-time, and this reminds me of it. Very nice, Pete.

this almost has a 3d effect and again good choice of processing. I'm liking the way not one bird has been captured in front of the trees

These pidgeons were a bit of a feature of Torun. Have a look at hte second shot in the 'On the Vistula' gallery on the Babelsberg site.

I check that out, but wow! that 3rd shot is just so good ( I really have to get on and sort mine out)

1/60s (ISO 160 and I would guess f1:5.6 - the Leica doesn't record this but for walking about on a murkyish day I guess that's what I had it on).
