This Has Certainly Cured The Gas For A While

Damn!!!! That's a fine looking bit of kit H! When is this going to stop?! All this money spending hey?! You must so much cash to spare. :)
...... Ooh, it's Christmas soon ;)

They are nice aren't they. I remember the first Leica I bought, a MP. After dithering for a while I decided to go for it and bought one new, even though it seemed a hell of a lot for a RF body. When it arrived and I first played with it my thoughts were more, "is that all it cost?!". Beautifully engineered machines.

As for financing... We haven't seen any pictures of Hannah and Connie recently. Hamish?!!

Yeah, I sold them ... What of it ... ;)

If just rattled off half a roll of film ... one of the shots will be blank though as I started to worry the shutter wasn't actually firing so I took the lens off to check ... Of course it is, its just dead quiet! My old m6 definitely wasnt this smooth!
This one cost me £1050 ... pretty good buy if you ask me! Especially considering they are now £3200 new!

You're clearly nuts Hamish :D

Looks lovely BTW - I am dead jealous

I posted that photo on Flickr ... Baring in mind I took it on my iPhone ... It's had more "favourites" on there than any other photo I have ever taken! It's of a camera! God knows what that says about the world?!

Still, thanks guys, I am overwhelmingly pleased with it! It's by far the most lovely thing I own ...

The watch I sold (or am about to sell... I actually borrowed money to buy this camera) was a replacement of the watch that I bought with the very first money I was given after my nan died. I lost the first watch, so bought another to replace it, but never got on with the replacement so recently after it being sat in its box for years decided to sell it. The battery had died, but when I took it to the shop they said it couldn't be replaced and that it would have to go to Tissot. tissot just replaced the watch and wouldn't let me have the old one back ... So I figured, the money I would get from the selling the replacement should go into something special as whilst obviously it's been 12 years since my Nan died, and I've lost the first watch and everything else... I wanted to buy something nice that I felt linked back to that first watch, a little reminder of my Nan ... It makes sense to me, even if it doesn't to anyone else!

That's a damn fine story Hamish - great idea

Yeah, it's a weighty bugger for sure ... I love the way that when I hand it to people you can see the surprise at the weight as their hand drops a bit! Especially with the Summarit on it, which is also more heavy than it deserves to be!
