Working in Europe?

What is your preferred method of travelling with FULL kit, including 2 studio lights, when going abroad, (Brussells in this case)?
I have little experience of this kind of assignment, and have been asked twice now, to do it.
Any thoughts/experiences/ideas/stories, please.

LJC.

Cameras etc in a carry-on (the Peli 1510 is good) and lights / trip and stands in a Lightware case (The Flash Centre - Lightware PK1200 (special offer)). Depending on how long the job is going to take you might want to think about a business class flight as the price difference might be less than the cost of excess luggage for clothes etc. Don't forget to take either EU leads or plug adapters and make sure your insurance covers you - 3rd party etc - and spare flash tube is wise!

Thank you, Pete.
I'm sorry I took so long to reply, but I've had some computer issues..... Thanks to Hamish for helping me out!

The prospect is a ONE DAY event. No accomodation offered.
Practically speaking, I think it's an impossibility. All day at a showroom, no assistance, no accomodation.
Think I'll be forced to turn it down, actually. Shame.

I have enough issues taking my record box on flights for European Dj gigs with even contemplating my camera equipment :)

Lighting wise, Elinchrom do a fantastic little 2 head kit which runs on battery power, the kit has 2 heads, 2 x batteries, 1 x control pack, Skyport sender & all the leads, just needs stands if you require them & is just over £1500 INC VAT.
Gives out up to 400ws power and the reflectors have a small diffuser that clips on them so acts like a softbox it is a great set up for the photographer on the move or on location where there is no access to mains power.
