YASOW (yet another sunset over water)

We had some late afternoon thunderstorms yesterday but they were ending around sunset so I quickly decided to head to a local flood-control canal / lake. Not too much available there compositionally, but it's all I have. I like the sun in the slot between cloud and sky. There were a few frames moments later where transparent falling rain from the cloud crossed the sun, but I was also trying frantically to change lenses (with a tripod foot) and those shots were less than usable. Oh well. :)

The interesting part (isn't it always) was that when I arrived I really didn't see a composition, but since the shot was quickly going away I just did the best I could and kept pressing the shutter button. I've been to that place many, many times over the years (also for astronomy) and really didn't expect to get anything. But now that I look at it a couple of days later it seems a little better.
