Original Post

Use this thread to post one photo you have taken during 2012.
It doesn't matter if you did or didn't post it in Dave's http://www.realphotographersforum.com/general/8936-dirty-dozen-best-2012-a.html thread.

Once those ten have been picked we will run a poll to decide a final winner of Best RPF Photo 2012...

The winner will get a badge by their name of some sort if I can work out how to make it happen :)

Try not to second guess people, just post the photo that you think is the best!

I struggle with this sort of thing, I find it hard to even like some of the stuff I've taken at times let alone consider it best, but I'll troll through and post something or other, or you could rename the thread 'Your Worst shot of 2012' now who keeps em? come be honest, we know you do in the vain effort that Lightroom or Photoshop may come to the rescue [devil][devil] [devil]

OK have had a gander through and have decided to post this one, Why? my reasons are because:
1. I Like it,
2. It was Published,
3. It's what I used to do for a living,
4. I rather like the Gladiatorial vision

Here you go, one for the show - Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA

This one came out the way my mind saw it on the day - and I think I'm going to get a print done for the office (when I get around to it)

I am quite bad - I delete all my pics after publishing online, so had to go and screenshot my pic back. Shot on iPhone.

Why I like it: The leading lines, the contrast of shiny cars to dark and matte walls. The HDR style. (I hate HDR usually).

hmm now yer asking a question........I think this one has to be up there for me. Farming has been part of my life in one way or another all my days so I tend to enjoy taking and looking at the pics.

I've always been proud of this one, and it will be the centrepoint of my exhibition

I hate making decisions like this! The truth is that I so desperately want to post something from the Peak District. I don't consider myself a landscape photographer, but I was pleased with some of the shots I took. Or rather... I was very lucky with the scenes that unfolded when I just happened to be there with the camera.

I'm a B&W street person at heart though and for that reason this is the one image that I keep selecting on my desktop at work. I'll try a landscape in the morning, but by the afternoon this one has always crept back :)

I'd have to go with this one, although not technically taken this year, it was discovered (it was done for the cheap as chips challenge, it was actually developed until a few weeks ago).

I believe it was, can't remember whether it was before or after Christmas break of work. Definitely within a week or two tho (the advantages of digital for dating stuff!). Will try and dig out the big version, altho Mac is knackered at the moment so may take a while.

old church in Swansea marina with the newer office building behind with reflections in the water makes this possibly one of my favourite images of the 2012 that i had taken with the Fuji X10

This shot was taken in Millook I'm Cornwall on holiday, about a few mile south of Widemouth Bay.
I love the ambience of the scene. Although my intensions were different in what I was looking for....... It turned out so much better.
