Hayden Flour Mill

Tempe, Arizona.

This old mill (135 y.o.) stands adjacent to Hayden Butte, which is great for a hike.

I took this shot a couple of years ago with the FED 5, then put the camera down when I got home and forgot I had film in it. I was looking at the camera this weekend and realized it still had a partially exposed roll, of what I had no idea. Anyway, turned out to be images of Tempe AZ mostly.

The film was Kodak Portra 160VC.

Nice effect though!
You are referring to the odd saturation Pete?

Been staring at this for a few minutes ...
Direction of the sun light was pickling me ... But I've worked it out ...
What's odd about it? Can you see what I'm talking about and what's happening?

I like it and wish I had structures like this around me. Well de-constructed lighting Hamish, The lights reflecting of the mill onto the out buildings. I would never have spotted that.

Just wait till you get over 40 and see what happens to your br.......now where's me slippers................................

I suspect there's some in the flour mill too

Really appreciate all the positive and helpful comments. Funny,...wasn't sure what it was I liked about this shot until I saw Hamish's comment about the odd lighting. Then I saw the small buildings were illuminated off the tall one. It's what lit the image up for me--perhaps its what called me to snap the shot in the first place--yet I didn't realize it. More dumb luck on my part!

Thanks again everybody!
